I am a 28 year United Auto Worker local 863 for Ford Motor Company. Twenty of those years I served the membership in an elected Union position fighting for a safe work environment, fair pay and equality for all.
MEAN BEARD Motto:
After recently losing my father to cancer, my motto has become "Love Life Without Hate!"

Funny story that actually happened. I was off for a few days to deer hunt. I tagged out early and spent the entire day rearranging furniture and deep cleaning the kitchen and dining room. I might have gotten carried away, what I described to my wife on the phone as "dramatic change when you get home from work so be prepared." She thought I shaved it all off! 🤣 Straight blew my phone up all day wanting me to send a picture.

Work in Marketing and HR for an engineering firm in NYC. Love live music, volleyball, camping and hiking. Have a passion for classic and vintage men's fashion. Spend about an hour a day on the beard.
MEAN BEARD Motto:
Beards rule the world!

I've always thought of myself as an interesting person. People tend to gravitate towards me. I've always had facial hair in my adult life and it has always worked in my favor. Ever since I took my beard to the next level (5" & growing), I get stopped by random strangers, even some people requesting to take a picture of me with my beard and my gentlemanly attire. I don't think I've ever had this much attention. Must be the power of the Beard!

I ran a restaurant for 23 years and couldn't have facial hair. Left the business in 2014 and havn't looked back at a clean shaven face since! The beard is now me, and represents our business/brand!

I am, for the last 3 years, a Traffic Control Flagger and a seasonal Santa Claus for a local charity called santasangelspei.com. I love to cook and bake. I love the outdoors - camping, hiking, target shooting, archery and hiking.
MEAN BEARD Motto:
I think mottos tend to be a bit cliché so I really don't have one.
Tell us why you have the MEANest BEARD?
When I began my journey I was wearing a partial beard, aka goatee, during spring summer and early fall, then beard in full for winter. That went for 7 years. Then I went full beard since October 2014 when i began doing Santa for a charity santasangelspei.com. As Santa, we go to homes on Christmas morning delivering food and gifts for needy families. It's a joy seeing the smiles it brings.

I'm just living my best life with so many hobbies. When I'm not helping people as a life coach/marriage counselor I'm making beautiful glass art in my glass shop or making/acting in movies. I let go of the corporate world to find this beardiful hippie that was inside of me.
MEAN BEARD Motto:
Communication is key. Love is my religion.
Tell us why you have the MEANest BEARD?
I'm not mean so my beard has to be. The beard has survived almost 12 harsh winters in Montana and in that time it has stopped fights and saved lives. It has shown so many people that it doesn't matter what people say or think of you. In a world where you can be anything, just be yourself. Much love!

I currently work in sales. When I'm not working I sing and play Cajon in a rock and pop covers band. I also enjoy cycling to keep fit and to get the wind in my beard, I'm the cycling Viking. 🤘
MEAN BEARD Motto: Don't let anyone else ruin your day, it's your day. Ruin it yourself!
Tell us why you have the MEANest BEARD?
My beard started out as a simple goatee, now it's around 15" long from lip to tip. It is my trademark now, I'm recognised for it. I'm the bearded bawbag in the band and people will ask at gigs if they can touch it, like their rubbing Buddha's belly for luck LOL.

I'm a Professional Outdoor Washer. I run a Rolloff Dumpster company part time for a buddy. My hobbies are playing with cars and trucks, mostly detail work.
MEAN BEARD Motto:
I stand proud for myself, my family and my country, I have a American flag on the right shoulder of my work shirts to let others know.
Tell us why you have the MEANest BEARD?
I have the Meanest Beard because I was blessed with it. I get crazy looks and compliments every time I'm in public. It's my trademark. The elderly woman at our church always asks my wife, "what do you think about his beard?". She tells her, "he could be doing worse things than growing a beard."

Member of Bearded Villains. Love competing in beard comps and going to beard meets. Recently started playing around with cosplay.
MEAN BEARD Motto: Be a good person, but don't waste time telling people about it.

Multiple 1st place and Best in Show wins. My beard is multi-colored which can make it a head turner. It's rare that I go out and don't get a compliment from someone about it. This badass beard deserves a Mean Beard trophy to go along with the other hardware on the trophy wall.

Troy Carmichael — “I’m not mean so my beard has to be.” I love his story, attitude and life philosophy. Everything about this one is perfect!
I vote for James Fowler please
Troy Carmichael because of this line, “I’m not mean so my beard has to be.” It shows you don’t have to be the meanest to have the meanest beard. Also, out of all the pictures his sticks out and his beard even covers most of Troy himself!
