I am not known by my name but the guy with the beard, at Kroger in the dairy Dept. I get so many honks and acknowledgements from so many people, they always stop and talk like we're are old friends. And as it grew on me (pun intended) it really became a lifestyle. My beard is also the reason I met the love of my life, my wife. We lived about two hours from eacother and first made contact on Instagram. She started following me because she liked my beard and I followed her back, thinking she was the most beautiful women I've seen. |

I started as a direct service professional and now I am in staff development. I am the trainer for a program with approximately 100 staff. When not working I enjoy working out at the gym. At 47 years old I participated in my first bodybuilding competition. I have a dog, Monty, who is a certified therapy dog. We enjoy volunteering with Veterans and other groups. Every year we march in the NYC Veterans Day Parade. (Except this year, COVID) I see a real value adding positivity to the world. |

A few years back in an effort to raise money for people with disabilities I declared that if I received $1000 worth of donations I would shave it. A local bar got wind of it and offered to host a public De-Bearding if the goal was met. I wound up raising $1400 and the outdoor area was packed for this public display. Former WWE Superstar Nunzio took the first hack at it and away it went. |
