I work as an exterminator. I have 6 kids with 7 on the way. My hobbies are doing things with my hands (not just making babies), fixing things the kids break or working on the car. I'm interested in lots of different things, mostly whatever I can convince my kids into doing, going outside and learning about nature, running the dog around, fishing, exploring and teaching them about the Pacific Northwest.
MEAN BEARD Motto:
The steps you take don't have to be big. They only have to take you in the right direction. I stand for making the world a better place for my kids.

My beard isn't just a beard to me. My oldest son (8yo) is the only one of my kids to remember what I look like without it. I would be doing sit ups with my twin girls (2yo) holding onto my legs and they would be trying to pull me up by my beard while giggling the entire time.

First and foremost I am a husband and father of two. I am a union truck driver going on 19 years. Animal lover, huge hockey fan and I enjoy my free time in the gym with my 2 boys. Owner of a rescued pitty.
MEAN BEARD Motto:
Be who YOU want to be not who "they" want you to be, because those who mind don't matter and those who matter, don't mind.

I've had facial hair in some form or another since '98. Caught Whisker Wars on TV and saw these massive long ass beards and literally said to myself "how the hell do you grow a beard that long?" That's when I decided to see how long mine would grow. Just over a year into my journey work I had an issue with the length, journey over. Long story short, started over Sept 2018. A pandemic and a 5 month furlough later, this is my 3 year beard, my threard.

I'm a 43 year old Husband (22 years), Father of 2 and Freemason. I'm a professional driver, gamer, musician (in a band with my son) and outdoorsman. I'm happiest with my family, my guitars, a fire, some whiskey and meat cooking on an open flame.
MEAN BEARD Motto:
Make big goals, take small steps and accept nothing that doesn't lead you to the goal you seek, but be humble all the way to the top and don't go alone.
Tell us why you have the MEANest BEARD?
I've always been a little short tempered and very impatient. I've never been one to just let things roll. I've had a beard for quite a while now but decided about 18 months ago I was just going to let it grow. Dealing with it, keeping it going and not giving up on this beard has shown me that I do have patience and I can do things better if I just "let them grow". I've since applied this to many other aspects of my life.

19 years ago I was diagnosed with Young Onset Parkinson's Disease and given a terminal diagnosis. It has taken hard work, determination, and persistence, but I am doing what the doctors say can't be done, I'm beating Parkinson's. I also finished therapy for PTSD 16 months ago, I am beating PTSD as well. Nightmares, flashbacks, depression and suicidal thoughts are gone. There's no shame in getting help for your mental health.

MEAN BEARD Motto:
Live one day at a time. Don't dwell on the past for it cannot be changed. Don't worry about the future for it has not happened. Live for today.
Tell us why you have the MEANest BEARD?
Nearly 6 years ago I made a choice to become a healthier person and learn to love myself. At that time I decided to try and grow a beard, soon realizing that it gave me more self confidence and allowed me to be more outgoing. The bearded world is a wonderful place to be, I have met some amazing folks from all over the world.
