In fact I was lucky.... sort of !!! 9 major operations and over 10 years of limb reconstruction saved the limb. Driving a truck and my passion for the gym was out of the question, I needed another point of focus to live..... that focus was bearding. I watched Whisker Wars on TV, knew I could do that...even from a wheelchair. My goal World Champion. |

Who Is The Man Behind The Beard?) | My beard is longer than that but I shaved my chin to be meaner and in order to better organise and build a DIY sauna in Baltic Burners gathering in Latvia. It was a success with lots of volunteers building their own 4 meters high transparent globe sauna. Everything from a scratch so it took a few days almost without sleep and have fun afterwards every time we come there. It is developed each year, growing and changing as well as my own beard. |

When my wife was in high school, ML was told she had a rare disease called Amyloidosis which took her life. My wife has been trying to raise awareness of this rare disease for years. I started growing my beard to help my wife raise awareness of Amyloidosis and to keep ML's memory alive. To me this beard is a life long commitment to raise awareness of Amyloidosis. |
