Judge Panel - The 2021 MEANest BEARD Worldwide Contest

The 10 person MEAN BEARD judge panel will soon determine the 2021 MEANest BEARD Champion.  A total of 78 MEAN BEARD Contestants from around the world have entered the contest.  The man with the most impressive beard and story behind the beard will be awarded the MEANest BEARD Champion trophy, a MEAN prize pack featuring a year supply of beard care products, and may also be offered an ambassadorship position with the company.

The judges first will select and announce the TOP 12, and then announce the TOP 3, and then finally announce the CHAMPION.  When determining the MEANest BEARD Champion, the main factor is obviously the beard.  However, it's not only the beard, it's also the attitude that deems a MEAN BEARD.  What's the story behind the beard, what does the beard stand for?  The judges will look closely at the story and who the person is behind the beard.  The MEANest BEARD Champion will represent MEAN BEARD.

Meet the MEAN BEARD judges: 

Founder & Co-owner of MEAN BEARD.  Barry is the guitarist with the international rock band, Three Days Grace.  He has rocked facial hair for well over 30 years and is proud to bring the MEANest beard care line in the world to you. 

MEAN BEARD Ambassador.  Garey is a widely published beard celebrity and he holds the 2019 3rd place “Full Beard Freestyle” World title and also the 2016 1st place American National title in the same category.

MEAN BEARD Ambassador.  Gerry is the 2021 American National Beard and Moustache 1st place Champion in the category of 18-24 inches.  He is also the 2018 MEANest BEARD Worldwide Champion.  

Co-owner of MEAN BEARD.  Jason came onboard the company in 2020.  As a successful businessman and the singer-guitarist in the band "Hollow Rogues" Jason knows a thing or two about what it takes to have a MEAN BEARD. 

Co-owner & Managing Partner at MEAN BEARD.  Joe is the man that knows all about beards and the best beard care formulas.  He takes care of the day to day operations, product development and manufacturing in Batavia, Ohio, USA.

MEAN BEARD Ambassador.  Kevin is the 2020 MEANest BEARD Worldwide Champion.   He's an inspiring standup man who embodies the meaning of MEAN BEARD to the fullest.  The next champion has big shoes to step into!

MEAN BEARD Ambassador.  Lee is the founder of @ibeardclub UK.  His world-class beard has won him 2nd & 3rd place titles at the World Beard and Moustache Championships '19 & '17 and 1st place titles at British Championships '16 & '18. 

MEAN BEARD Ambassador.  Mark was a TOP 3 finalist in the 2017 MEANest BEARD Worldwide Contest.  He's one of our best brand ambassadors on social media and he has a natural talent for inspiring many bearded brothers' lives.

MEAN BEARD Ambassador.  Matt has been with the MEAN brand from the very beginning.  He has always been our trusted and true right-hand man.  For anyone interested in paintball, Matt runs a team in Canada called MEAN TACTICAL. 

MEAN BEARD Ambassador.  Patrick is known for his two mean beards and his multiple beard competition wins.  His most notable are - US National Champion Mutton Chops 2021, 2018 & 2016 and 2nd place World Champion 2017.
